Youth rugby returns at Greenock Wanderers
Sunday 13 August marked the club’s annual registration day for all minis players as the summer holidays draw to a close.
Training officially started back on Sunday 24 July at the Battery Park for children of primary school age to enjoy fun training sessions to get them back into the swing of things.
Our minis section is open to children of all genders aged 5 to 11 (P1-P7 inclusive) and they will be split up into the relevant age-groups.
Greenock Wanderers operate a ‘try-before- you-buy’ policy to allow kids (and parents) to settle in. More information about minis fees and family memberships can be found on our youth rugby page.
Minis training takes place on Sundays from 12 noon until 2pm. Any changes to training times will be communicated to parents either at training or on the section’s Facebook page.
At the end of the season we host a ‘Family Fun Day’ where the micros and minis have the prizegiving. Our prizegiving awards are designed to not only award children’s rugby development, but to also encourage rugby’s core principles of integrity, passion, solidarity, discipline and respect.
